Description

We are a fast-growing medical device company and we are looking for Sydney-based volunteers to help us with the product testing of our HIV Self Test on the 20th & 21st of December 2016. This evaluation is an essential part of our product development to ensure that accurate, safe and discrete in-home HIV self testing can be made available to everybody. It’s so important we get your help & support.

We'll start by saying up front, that this is a user evaluation so you will NOT get a HIV diagnosis, however you will be required to give a tiny blood sample via a finger prick. The actual Self Test takes just a few minutes, however the evaluation process takes 30mins. You will be required to complete some paperwork before taking the test and finally complete a short questionnaire. As thanks, you'll get a $75 Visa card for your involvement.

This is an innovative product that we aim to bring to the Australian market soon and, as with all medical devices, we need to ensure we are designing the product in a way that our customers can easily use and get an accurate result. This evaluation will help us get there.

Please sign up and register for the event. The City Group Rooms that will be hosting the evaluation specialises in usability / research evaluations, therefore staff discretion and your privacy are paramount.

If you want to find out more or change your mind at any time please email: hivselftestproductevaluation@gmail.com

Please arrive 10mins before your session starts.

  • You must be over 18 to participate.
  • You must also not be a healthcare professional or volunteer experienced in HIV rapid diagnostic testing.

FAQs

Why have you not disclosed the name of your company or the product you are evaluating?
As we are formally testing our device from a usability perspective, we need to ensure all participants are coming into the study fresh and without any prior knowledge of the product. Thus we want to ensure participants are not researching the company and product before participating in the evaluation. We will however on the day of testing disclose our company and information about our product. Rest assure, we are an awarding winning medical device company and we have released other products in other regions around the world.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There is an age limit. You must be over 18 to participate. We may request ID on the day.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
By Car: very limited on street parking. The closest parking facility is QVB, York St.
By Train: 7 min walk under QVB from Town Hall Station to Market St.
